  PLC-1920 is an aggressive, non-chlorinated paint line cleaner designed for "deep cleaning" paint lines. It is used wherever MC 1730 cannot be used because of its methylene chloride content. PLC-1920 performs equally well when changing from solvent base paint to either solvent base or water base paint. PLC-1920 offers the user an additional advantage in that it can be reclaimed.

Paint line cleaner 1920 used for cleaning internally the recirculating paint lines for waterborne and solventborne paint systems. Paint line cleaning should be done before the start-up of a new installation, as well as between changes in color, resin type or manufacturer, between changes from solvent to water-borne paints or vice versa and when systems exhibit reduced fluid flow or gun plugging due to the internal build up of resin, pigment or flake.  After the cleaning operation is finished, all spent material and any unused product can be removed from the plant by a licensed waste hauler.

PLC-1920 is used to fill a paint line system after initially cleaning with PLC 5130. Once filled, the line is circulated and a 100 micron filter bag is placed on the return line. After the bag holds for two (2) hours, the bag size is reduced to 25 microns and then finally to five (5) microns. At this point, the system is drained of PLC-1920 and the system filled with:

PLC 5130, when removing solvent base paint and refilling with a new solvent base paint.

CS 2510, when removing solvent base paint and refilling with water base paint.
Bag filter on return lines 200,100, 50, 25 and 5 micron filter bags. Pumps for system filling and recirculation. Material handling equipment for drums or totes. Paint line leak repair pipe, valves and fittings. Feed to return line- Teflon™ jumpers at gun stations.
